It's nice to be adored (dog thread)...
The dogs have been alone all day, except at lunchtime, when Paddy came home and let them out to pee. Since I got home around 4;00, they've followed my every step, brought me toys, rolled over for belly rubs, given me numerous kisses and generally looked at me with those worshipful "I love you soooooooooooooooooooo much" eyes.

Makes coming home nice, no matter how the rest of the day went.

:)

1. Dogs are nice.
Especially if you have a teenager. They don't look at you like you're the plague whenever you walk into a room (only 3 more years to go!). Noooooo. I am treated like a god whenever I come home after work. My dog wuvs me!

10. We're going out of town and dropped Maxie off...
at the kennel where he usually stays when he's not going with us. We were more upset than he was -- he didn't even look back when they took him through the door!

But I know he'll turn himself inside out right there at the office in the kennel when we go to pick him up. He likes going to the kennel -- he gets to be around other dogs, which doesn't happen as often as it should here at home -- but he's always happy when we come to get him, too.

11. I like you.
I don't know if I ever told you that, but I think you seem to be a great, fine upstanding person. I know it seems unusual for someone to come out and say that, but my horoscope today told me to thank people who make me smile. So thanks!

15. if you're not a dog lover ...
you're just wasting space ...

for her first 15 months, i was able to take my welshTerrier pup to work with me ... then they changed the rules ...

but, starting this week, i'm able to work from home ... to spend 24 hours a day with a dog is a great thing ... the bonding is really incredible ...
