I want a wider variety of friends
is that so bad?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE my friends. They are incredible.

But we're all the same--same interests, same sense of humor, we like to do the same things, many of us are even in the same career field. No one is really different.

Now vanilla pudding is good. It's creamy and yummy and good.

But sometimes you want sprinkles, whipped cream, hot fudge, a cherry, something DIFFERENT.

Again, I ask you, is that so wrong?

The problem is, how do you go about doing that?

1. Take up a class at a local college
preferably a workshop where you all will work together on projects and critique each other's work.

Cooking, photography, web design..... almost anything creative.

2. Yeah but
it's got to be somewhere or something so that I don't get the same kind of friends....seems like when I do that, I end up meeting people...just like me!

LOL. It's not a huge problem, I know. Just weird and it's been with me for a while.

Creative stuff.....that's a good idea....

3. Yeah but......
Dint take up anything you like or you will end up in the same situation, because they are liking it too.

4. Sit in a coffee shop, read a book. Volunteer for something.
Borrow a dog and go to the dog park.

6. Good ideas, guys
thanks!

I do meet a lot of people when I go to political type stuff and because I'm a liberal they tend to come in all kinds! I guess I just need to get to more meetups, etc.
