Wedding gift ideas/suggestions?

Tomorrow afternoon I am attending a wedding as a date to a friend of mine who is friends of the Bridal Party/family. My question is what does one bestow upon a recently married couple whom I have no acquaintance to?

1. A lovely photo frame for a wedding picture. Bonus points if you

get one that is engraved with the wedding date.

5. People just go nuts...

...when we take digital pictures of the cermony, dance and reception and make a copy of CD on our laptop (that has a burner on it) for the wedding couple. Almost all of the pictures are candid snapshots.

We drop it off at the front desk right away the next morning (if they're staying there) or at the gift opening. Also shooting it off in the mail or e-mail the next day works well too.

I've even made copies at 11PM down at the dance itself. Goofy memory of "Mony, Mony" playing in the background surrounded by 5 drunk couples waiting for their pictures, staring into a computer screen while the party is still going on. Looks like a bunch of geeks at a high school dance!

6. a nice card and a little dough

Having paid off our own wedding every little bit counts, I like to make sure we cover the cost of our meal and a little more for the newlyweds to accesorize other gifts they get.
