5. The Great Fire of London in 1666 was started at Pudding Lane, famously.
Pudding Lane was named that because that's where the public latrines where. Get it?

4. You made me google, and...
it appears this is true.

Apparently, it was a common name for streets where whores tended to hang out in several English cities.

The question is-- was this an official name, or just the local slang for the street? Nobody seems to have actually found the original Gropecunt Lane, but the present Threadneedle St. is the most interesting possibility. Maiden Lane is another.

FWIW,one town out in western Joisey had to rename the dirt road popularly known as "Pigshit Alley" when they paved it and they had to actually have a name for it on maps.

8. It was in official thirteenth century records under that name.
So I think it was official. Can't be sure of course, though. I found it in 'London: The Biography' by Peter Ackroyd.

14. According to the book, it's Maiden Lane in Southwark.
Southwark was an unregulated community outside the walls of London, so that makes sense.

6. Oddly enough there was a convent on Gropecunt Lane
And let me say for the record that those stories are grossly exaggerated.

11. Historically, London has always had a really wild side.
Back in the early eighteenth century, one of the major spectator sports was topless women racing.

The 'okina (') is a consonant in the Hawaiian language, pronounced as a glottal stop (like in "uh-oh").

However, old-time county road signs were made without the 'okinas...
