Just peeled and *de-veined* 5lbs. o'shrimp.....blech......

.....gonna fry some and broil some.....got an ass kickin' recipe for broiled shrimp...served over saffron rice....with a salad and garlic bread....quite yummy....got some beer batter for the ones I'm gonna fry....I just HATE havin' to peel and strip the poop-shoots out of 'em....my fingers are all shriveled and sore....but they'll be worth it after they're cooked. :9 :9

BTW...these were given to us by my SO's boss...he's always tryin' to feed us...LOL...we've gotten ribs...steaks....shishkabobs....catfish and now shrimps!!! :D

Seriously, if soap won't cut it, rub your hands together with baking soda & a little water.

For the smell, lemon juice or vinegar followed by a good hand washing and no one will be able to tell you de-veined all those shrimp!

16. My broiled recipe is *scampi'ish*......
....it calls for butter...worchestershire sauce..pick a peppa sauce...lemon....garlic...salt 'n' cayenne pepper....mix and pour over the shrimp and broil....then serve it over the saffron rice....it's a different take on scampi!! :9

18. Gulf of Mexico shrimp? My gosh, that does sound heavenly!
Back in my old service days, stationed in Mississippi (what has 4 eyes but can't see?) I had a pal get married and his cousin owned a Gulf of Mexico Shrimp Boat.

At the reception were GIGANTIC bowls overflowing with fresh, delicious, Gulf o' Mexico shrimp.

I have never forgotten that delectible experience. Enjoy your shrimp and know I will be there in spirit!
