I saw a preview last night for the end of Ben Afleck's career
Went to see Garden State last night, which was a lot of fun; Natalie Portman is incredibly cute.

The previews before hand?

Wow, Ben has got a really awful winter ahead of him. Surviving Christmas looks simply awful. Ben has a string of bad decisions behind him, and this looks so bad it could officially take him off the A-list.

Hate to dis a Dem, but wow, doesn't he have an agent to say, uh, don't do this crap?

Facing another Christmas alone, Drew Latham decides to go back to his idyllic childhood home to spend the holidays with family. There is, however, one problem: the people living there now are not Drew’s family. Nevertheless, Drew has his mind set on an old-fashioned family Christmas, and the fact that the "family" in question, the Valcos, are complete strangers, isn’t about to put a crimp in his plans. Offering them a small fortune, Drew bribes his newfound "parents" to let him spend Christmas in their home, pretending to be part of the family. Just when the Valcos begin to question if any amount of money is worth being dragged all over town on such traditional family holiday excursions as Christmas shopping and the requisite choosing of the Christmas tree, their eldest daughter Alicia comes home for the holidays, with no intention of adopting a new "brother."

5. I think he could be very good at that!
I don't hold out much hope for his movie career, though.

11. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Ben Affleck for Senate from MA?!? Are you nuts? Exactly how is he qualified? I'd take Barney Frank or Ed Markey any day of the week.

And second of all, since he moved to Hollywood in 1991, aside from being a Red Sox fan, how is he a MA resident?!? The last thing we need is a washed up, low grade carpetbagging actor trying to represent our lovely state in the Senate.

10. Portman is adorable in Garden State. How ironic that Ben's career
will start to tank just as many warm up to him. I think he does not mind if his carrer tanks. He's going into politics, right? I mean, he would have no problem running at local level...I was amazed at how articulate and quick he is. It's always funny and humbling how you can misjudge people.

12. I've always thought he was intelligent
That showed up in some of his early film and in his writing. I look forward to his political career - but man, throw the hook on letting him select roles!
