Yesterday while filling up with gas....I saw this truck....

...that had a camper shell. In the side windows of the camper shell (which ran the length of the truck) there were white posters with big hand written complete sentences. I wasn't paying to much attention. As I was waiting for my debit card to process in the pump, the old man was getting into his truck and getting ready to take off and I glanced over and started reading some of what he had written. The only thing I make out before he left (which was a second later) was "... to China and take Bush and Nethercutt with you. Vote Democrat...." I couldn't see much more, but I did see something about "President" and "liar"

There was a hell of lot more on the side of his truck, but it was definitely nice to see the old man brazenly displaying an anti-Bush and anti-republican, anti-Nethercutt (who is also a damned liar) tirades proudly for all the world to see.

By the way, this is Spokane Washington which is fairly conservative.

They aren't afraid to tell you what they think. Most of them fought for our country and they know they earned their rights to say whatever the fuck they think. God I love them.

4. I overheard a conversation between these two old guys

in a small town diner in Nebraska. One of the men is going on & on about how bad bush is "worst president ever". The other guy says he voted for him in 2000, but would not do that again. The first guy then tells the second guy he is buying his own lunch. I about spit my tea across the room. When I left I had to walk by there table & say hi.

I love people like that. I wish more people would do the same around here (North Texas/SW Oklahoma). A couple of days ago one of the people working in the same organization ask me if I am driving that car with that funny sun visor (3 Stooges). Well, besides having that funny sun visor, I also have 2 anti-Bush bumper sticker and 1 Kerry bumper sticker. People around here don't like that too much.

I told her that, yes, that is my car and prepared for an attack from her for not supporting Bush. Well, she said: "I really love your bumper stickers" ...

So, I know there are lots of guys supporting Kerry and hating Bush. They are just afraid to show it.

3. Yeah, my area has been devastated by outsourcing....

....and broken promises from greedy corporations. One of our companies, Kaiser aluminum is giving a bunch of retirees the shaft on pensions/benefits they were promised as they worked their. The local plants closed a few months after making concessions in a strike that lasted almost a year and moved elsewhere. I think a lot of people got pissed off.

Now if more of the locals would see through Tim Eyemans anti-tax bs initiatives that are gutting our state budget, we might be able to get this place back on track.
