I'm A Good Sam Member! Whoo-hoo...My Membership Welcome-Package Arrived...

http://www.goodsamclub.com/index.cfm

...with all kinds of goodies and discounts and special offers and coupons and freebies. I even get a membership/discount card that's EMBOSSED with my very own name.

Oh, this is just too much to take.

I even get a FREE NIGHT'S STAY at any campground that's a member of the Good Sam Club as well. The free night's stay almost pays for the 3 year membership dues.

I can access the "members-only" areas of the Good Sam Club web site and I can get discounts at Good Sam parks and on Good Sam merchandise and on RV accessories (and even gasoline).

My life is complete.

(Obviously, there's very little else going on in my life that's worth getting excited over. )

4. Are You Thinking "Sam's Club"?? That's Not The Same Thing As
the "Good Sam Club" which is an organization for RV owners and enthusiasts.

2. Right on!
My wife and I are planning on fulltiming by the time we hit 50, and though we don't have an RV yet, we read the Open Roads and Escapee Club forums everyday to get ideas about what we want to do.

We're looking at at Class A or C right now, but getting a 5th wheel is in the cards, too. We love the vintage trailers also, and if we find a deal on one we'd love to restore it and take off..

3. We cancelled our membership ages ago!
We joined a group called Escapees. http://www.escapees.com/

They were working very hard to solve the voting problem of full-time RVers who have no permanent address. I don't agree with ALL of their issues but this one has been very important.

Also, Family Motor Coach Association if you have a motorhome, is a great organization.

I couldn't stand the Good Sam Club.

5. I Know Some Full-Time RVers Who Sold Their Home
Edited on Fri Aug-27-04 09:29 AM by arwalden
but maintain a "permanent" address at their daughter's home in Ohio. I'll have to ask if they've had difficulty in voting.

We're able to use our folding camper about one weekend a month... so for our purposes, the Good Sam Club suits us just fine. So far I'm very pleased with them. I especially LOVE the annual "Trailer Life" campground directory and guidebook. Their ratings, reviews, and descriptions are very thorough and we've found them to be quite accurate.

Thanks for the escapees.com link.... I'll check it out.
