8. This is why I don't drink it any longer
I don't want to be a slave to any beverage. I laugh at people here now who whine and complain because they have no coffee.

10. Option #2. I've had to go to Starbucks and buy the coffee myself.
There's enough of us in this office to keep tabs of the coffee supply. I also know for a fact that I'm the ONLY person cleaning the damn coffee pot out.

21. Your boss waiting for you at the door with your personal items
When I worked for Texas Instruments in the early 80's, I saw this happen with regularity. They didn't care that they were totally stripping you of dignity as other employees gawked at who was the latest victim of RIF.

The day I started there, they were RIFFing about 30 people, and I thought, "What the fuck kind of company did I just pick up and move 1000 miles to work for?"

my bosses insists the A/C be turned off at night and so I have to open up the house (it's not a regular office building), open some doors and windows in the rooms with NO A/C and turn on the A/C in the rooms that have it.
