Trying to remember a song/band name: Anyone remember the commercial
for the movie Jade ('95) with David Caruso, Linda Fiorentino and Chazz Palminteri?

In the commercial, there was a song (don't know if it's one the soundtrack) the refrain for which is "time...time...time."

The singer is a black man, and if I had to guess the year, I'd say maybe the late 70s or early 80s.

I think the song was used more recently in a commercial for Visa or Microsoft (it had lots of exterior shots of New York City).

It's one of the few songs I know where the beat changes. It slows down in the last couple bars, like a clock winding down.

1. Chambers Brothers.
I think it's called 'Time Has Come Today.' Actually from the early '70s, about '72 I think.

4. Brilliant. Thanks. I ask, because I thinkt it would be a much better...
...song for the soundtrack for that trailer for the vote fraud documentary that's being dicussed in GD.

5. I think the first time it was licensed
was over a decade ago -- to Time Magazine, if I recall correctly.

I think after it was used in the 'Time' commercial, some of the classic rock stations started playing it -- I don't remember hearing it on commercial radio much, at least in SW Ohio, until then.
