OMG! I went out to dinner in the Bronx
Edited on Thu Aug-26-04 10:36 PM by slinkerwink
This couple across the hall from us in our apartment invited us to dinner at this Italian restaurant in the Bronx. This restaurant is called Giovanni's, and has the best pizza in town. There were photos of politicians, noticeably Pataki with George W. Bush by his side in the restaurant and photos of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The photos of Pataki and Bush was all over the restaurant. One photo showed Bush stupidly eating a slice of pizza, and another photo showed Bush reaching for a glass of red wine! I gasped when I saw that photo and I wished I had my digital camera on hand to capture that photo of Bush reaching for a glass of red wine.

7. Oh lord.
Don't tell me you're one of those people that is deathly afraid to go north of 96th St. :spank:

There are some nice areas in the Bronx. Pelham Parkway is lovely.

Brooklyn has been and will always be the coolest borough ever, though. ;)

2. Where abouts?
My very best friends in the world live way up there, near the Zerega Ave. stop on the 6 train.

Their neighborhood has a lot of pugs. There are some truly obnoxious anti-choice bumper stickers on the cars around there.

13. He's got a couple....
Fordham Rd and another on the Concourse.

I went to the one near Yankee Stadium while on jury duty. It is good.

Next time come up to City Island and have some real Italian seafood.

No pictures of * either.

19. Oh!
I know where that one on Fordham Rd is, I pass it all the time. I guess it's one of those things that you see so much, you don't pay much attention to it.

I haven't been to City Island in forever. I get my Italian seafood fix in Sheepshead Bay since it's closer to home (I'm in Flatbush).

16. Depends on the section.
He wouldn't get out of the South Bronx alive.

Up around Co-Op City though? Not so sure. There are some solidly Repug areas around there. I go up there to see my friends just about every weekend and there are some truly obnoxious anti-choice bumper stickers on the cars around their neighborhood. My best friend's stepfather (lives in that area) is involved with the Conservative Party and they have a lot of support in the Bronx. Not as much as Queens and Staten Island, but enough.

Dumb bastard would never come here on his own.

You can tell his fans by their open mouths with drool coming down their chins, knuckles dragging on the pavement. But yeah, most people here would like to kick his ass!

22. Hey Hey Hey
I fly up to New York City from Hawaii this Saturday evening. What day is the giant protest?

I'll be staying at my brothers' place. One lives in Queens near Atlantic and Pacific and the other lives on the upper west side by Columbia.

25. Heard of that place. I think Joe Pesci worked there as a struggling actor.
Never been there. Ever hear of Garjulios in Brooklyn? Similar mystique.

If his clothes match up to what he has been wearing recently then that shows that he is back on the sauce.
