76. I cried buckets when Freddie died.
I was a little girl at the time and did not understand anything about AIDS. Heck, neither did most grown folks at the time. I was just so sad and confused. Freddie was just so larger than life and then suddenly he was gone. Of course, looking back now on some of the later Queen music videos, Freddie was clearly ill. But it just seemed so senseless to me.

What a brilliant, shining light. He had such a beautiful voice, and no one worked a stage the way Freddie did. He COMMANDED it.

God I miss that man.

65. I fail to see what you're getting at.
Fact: I hate Jerry Garcia, Nat King Cole, Elvis, Billie Holiday, etc.

Fact: I love the Ramones.

Fact: Unique singing style changed with his age, creating two distinctly seperate styles which were both wonderful.

34. Oh, let's see. . . John Lennon, he was my favorite Beatle -- those

who remember 1964 will recall that was a major question "Who's your favorite Beatle?" at the time. The Fab Four had a major influence on our culture.

Elvis Presley, for the huge boost he gave to early rock 'n' roll, and because he had a fantastic voice. By the time he started playing Vegas, I wasn't following him, but he was still a great singer, despite some of the schlock he was doing in his later years.

93. I Miss Brent.
:(

Didn't appreciate the man as much as, maybe I should have- when he was alive.

Pig had it goin' on, too.

As mentioned elsewhere, yeah, Bob's still alive. And belting them out as great as ever, I might add.

Phil, too.

Only one who shouldn't sing is Mickey. Sorry, but.. it's true.

88. Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison
I heard the Doors live during their first tour after Morrison died, and it really brought home how much his voice "made" their sound.

117. Frankie was great!
And the whole Rat Pack are just incredible. When I'm up really late, I'm tempted to buy the tape of the show that started it all. Those were great nights and now they're on TAPE!! Damn....I wish I could have been in Las Vegas in the 60s.
