Poll question: do you have a "land line" telephone? Pollsters don't call cel phones
which is why I think the polls are WAY off Especially in the under 40 demographic.

so my question is do you have a regular telephone that plugs into the wall that you use for voice communication (faxes and modem lines don't count)

No one ever calls to poll me except about what products I buy.

On edit: All on one telephone number, just 5 phones in 5 different rooms.

4. This is Definitely a Growing Factor
Local telcos have fewer lines each month. Cell companies have more. Eventually polling companies will have to adjust, but they haven't yet.

6. We just did away with our land line
Now that Speakeasy offers dedicated DSL without the need for a land line. It's very strange not to hear the phone ring all day! The only calls I get are calls I WANT on my cell phone. Very refreshing!

7. good point
Very good point, I hadn't even thought about it!
Keep in mind, though, polls are not really a good indication of how Kerry is doing- he's still winning the EC.
