How can I re-energize my love of my work?
I got a great review. But unlike the others in my division, I am not being given anything new or different. I felt like I was being slapped in the face.

I've basically spent the day sad and angry because I know they're working to eliminate my division.

To say the least, I'm no longer enthused about working.

What can I do?

thanks.

1. Start worrying about getting laid off like so many of us do......
you'll find that you love your job.

2. My dear fellow, I've been a nervous wreck for MONTHS for that reason.
I'm even on zoloft, which has only made me agitated and upset.

Duress is not the ideal way to get people to like their jobs.

4. I've been for months. Nothing is out there... Extinct is forever,
knowledge is power.

A plastic bag and a kiddie balloon are all I need when the time comes.

6. In the world * is making, that'd be doing them a favor.
Besides, unlike * and his ilk, I believe killing and exploitation are wrong.

8. I know what you mean.
I was told I was going to get a raise. I waited nearly a month before asking when it was going to take affect. I was told circumstances had changed & I wasn't going to get it at this time. Then she turned around & piled MORE work on me. Why in the hell am I busting my butt, trying to meet deadlines & having nothing to show for it????
My temporary solution? I think I'll have another glass of wine. Best of luck. I have no answer. Misery loves company.

10. Thank you for sharing
'misery loves company' is a fallacy. It actually means 'workers of the world unite' but was changed by the corporate elites as a form of social engineering. (:tinfoilhat: ?)

11. Adopt a pompous and arrogant attitude
That's what usually works for me when this happens - either your bosses will fire you for disrepecting them, but you'll have fun doing it and you don't like your job that much anyway so no biggie; or else everyone will fear and respect you and you'll rapidly advance.
