Help with music from couple of commercials
I don't know who here is into music big time enough to help me identify a couple of pieces, but my level of hope is high, at least!

The first commercial is for British Airways. A man is getting onto an overnight plane, bundled up in a reclining seat, and his wife and daughter (I think) are on a train or something, and they meet by the ocean, and there is an entire orchestra playing at the edge of the ocean, getting their feet wet as the family meets and enjoys seeing each other.

The second piece is violin music, for spaghetti sauce Prego. It shows mainly the pot cooking the sauce, and someone sprinkling some oregano or basil into the pot, talking about bringing "good things to the table." It's only a short piece of music, probably thirty seconds.

Anyone know either of the pieces of music in these two commercials? Stupid question, but they intrigue me, especially the British Airways piece.

1. The BA Commercial is the Act I duet from the opera Lakme
by Leo Delibes. BA has been using that piece for at least 10 years.

I don't know about the Prego commercial as it doesn't ring a bell.

5. BTW - you can usually find a recording of this duet on one of
those "opera's greatest hits" collections. There are only a couple of recordings of the complete opera, but you need not buy the whole thing.

I believe the BA commercial uses the EMI version sung by Mady Mesple and ??.

Here's a couple of links:

6. Thanks!
I found a copy to listen to and it's a nice piece. Even if I know nothing about opera, it's very pleasant to listen to. I'm glad someone is more musically knowledgeable than I am!

2. Is the Prego commercial the one with the cute baby named Charlie
in the high chair with the bowl over his face? I don't know the music, but it is a cute commercial.

4. I think there are a couple of them
and yes, the baby in the high chair is one of them. They all use the same first part of the commercial, I think.
