Anyone remember Marshall Hall?

Brought back ancient memories for me. My grandparents used to take my brother and me right around the time these photos were taken...1961.

4. My memories of the riots are so hazy...
because I was just a kid.

I remember the National Guard convoying down the road (Queens Chapel Rd...Michigan Ave extended) near my house. I remember some news footage that talked about 14th and U Sts; but not much about the amusement parks.

Can you tell me more?

5. Wow, I can't believe it! I remember being VERY frightened of that
roller coaster!

never went on it.

But I don't remember Glen Echo being damaged in the riots?
