Maggie's Day At School- complete with bruises!
So the day all started innocently enough. With English. Then Math, where the teacher thought it would be nice to drill into our heads how hard the course was going to be, then to Spanish were the teacher talked so fast nobody understood a word she was saying. Then I unfortunately realized that I actually did not have time for LUNCH in my schedule. :grr: Later,I had photography, which sounds like it will be very fun indeed. At the end of the day I had Chem. It will be difficult and boring at the same time, apparently.

I needed that lunch thing fixed so I don't wind up like a Coultergeist... The rest of the day went rather smoothly, although I didn't get any food until I found a granola bar in my soccer bag at the end of the day! Which brings me to the bruise section of my story-at soccer practice my HEAD collided with a girl's EYE and now I have a very beautiful welt on my forehead. It is a bit smaller than a golfball, but it hurt a lot and gave me quite the headache! The poor other girl has a very gorgeous black and blue on her eye. It was raining and slippery, so you get the idea.

And then, of course, there were those people who I really enjoy not having to see over the summer back into my field of vision. Ah yes, you forget how immature some people really are...

If that bruise doesn't attract guys, well then... what will, really? :D

Time for some Advil. ;)

3. It's a good way to lose weight though!
But I don't need to lose any, and I get hungry in the middle of the day with soccer. *sigh* :(

6. You are smart
Intelligence isn't measured by the types of classes you take. I know AP kids who are idiots in comparison to what you know politics and history wise.

Weight is just a measurement of how we can create more social borders between ourselves as a society. If nobody had invented the scale, and nobody had invented "weight ranges" we wouldn't even know what a "fat person" looked like.

8. I josh with you all about that
I know I am smart and I am just assuming I am the heaviest because lefty is a stick. I am infact very happy with the classes I chose. To go from physchology to philosophy in the same day is awesome, like that freeper story I never thought that would happen. Thankfully he didnt see me I mean my Kucinich button.

13. I went in to the wrong room
I was like this isnt philosophy, wrong teacher, and WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT, then I got a good look at my schedule went to the right class. Nice people and a witty teacher. I am taking political science next year, I wonder who I will intern for :) IF key word if he doesnt win the primary, DK, if he does, Teddy Kennedy by far, it would be so cool to meet a Kennedy.

5. Ouch! Any blood?
I had a similar experience back in my playing days (far too many years ago). I was a goalkeeper, and went airborne for a save against a guy trying for a header. I got the ball but of course then there was nothing to stop the progress of his head, which impacted mine just above the eyebrow.

Split it wide open, and it bled . . . and bled . . . and bled. Couldn't get it to stop until the game was over. Strange thing is, I played really well after that -- maybe the blood and pain improved my focus, who knows?

Hope your bruise gets better, and how bad is the headache? If it hurts a lot or is persistent then you might want to get checked for a concussion . . . yeah, I'm a worrier but now that I'm coaching instead of playing it comes naturally. ;-)

Please get the lunch thing worked out -- with that schedule you'll need your strength.

7. I think i'll be ok
At first it was a pretty bad headache but after about 5 minutes it died down to just a normal headache. There was no blood, thank god. Just stuck with this huge bump on my head. For guys it may look tough and rugged but most girls don't appreciate having bruises on their faces, especially when they're trying to get a date for homecoming :D

Any other time of the year I would have been fine with a bruise. ;)

14. Sorry to hear that, LPFF
The first days of the new school year are hard enough without that. And yes, a guy wouldn't be good enough for you if the bruise is a turn off.

22. I do now
every other day I eat lunch 4th period with the 7th graders
and the other two i eat lunch 6th period, but this causes me to miss chorus every other day. the days i'm in chorus i have to leave 10 minutes early to get to photography because periods 6 and 7 overlap.

Make sense? Following me here?

23. No, because I went to school in the dark ages...
...I had the same classes and same lunch schedule every day. You either had A lunch or B lunch - 3 periods then lunch or 4 periods then lunch...

Yours is

24. The thing is
We have either 6th period lunch and a 7th period class, or a 7th period lunch and a 6th period class. I had a class scheduled for 7th period (photography), and 6th period (chorus). They legally have to give me lunch everyday, so they took me outta chorus (which was 6th period) to give me a lunch.

The lunches are 30 min. The periods are 43. So the lunch period 6 and class period 7 overlap.

I'm trying to do two things at once, basically.

26. There is only one photography class
That's why. otherwise they'd have put me in 7th period lunch and a different photography class.
