1. hang in there - if you can get through the first 48 - 72 hours

5. A friend had great success quitting a 2 pack a day habit by
sucking on very bitter licorice. He said it left the same taste in his mouth as tabacoo. Hang in there. If the desire gets really out of hand why not take in a movie to get your mind off it?

3. Nooooo!
Go for a walk around the block. Get a glass of water. Do something else. Take your mind off of it. Don't give any more of your money to those goddam tobacco companies! Get your life back.

to light up one of those nasty things again.

You can make it through without lighting up, I did, and if I can do it, anyone can.

to quit - worth the price too when you consider how much you won't be spending on cigs.

edited to add: this craving will pass whether you smoke or not. The difference is, if you give in the cravings will never go away. If you don't give in eventually they will go away and they will be GONE.

14. I feel for you.
I quit several years ago. Not easy, but worth it. Besides, if you smoke now, you wasted the last two weeks of suffering, you will just have to start over again from scratch.
