The General just spat out that he's "aligned" with the Democratic Party
Finally.

Gave a nice little list of all the reasons why....

I thought he looked like he was taking cough medicine...kept talking about the transition from military to civilian perspective and how difficult it is...

Moving toward "closure" Sept. 19 a benchmark...a speaking engagement.

Still no decision on it.... blah, blah, blah..

1. he finished with...
I'm proud to be a Democrat.

Spat it out? He gave a ringing endorsement of Democratic Party principles and expressed his pride in being a member of the party.

sheesh....

2. Clark ...
is a very nice fellow who has espoused NOTHING BUT progressive ideas and philosophy ....

His views have always been clearly 'aligned' with the Democratic party ....

I see no reason to dress down a good man for this ...

yourself!

But frankly, he looked a little more uptight than other times I've seen him, which is OK, it's allowed to be a little nervous with all the pressure swirling around him.

And generals do "spit" or "bark" out orders...it's a classic description of their speaking styles...

Since when is that a "dressing down"??

6. true...at least we know he is a Democrat in his own words.
So we will be knowing by the end of September if Clark is running or not.

5. Saw the same interview, had a different interpretation....
It's certainly fine if you don't like him, but I hardly thought he "spat" out anything. He gave a rather detailed, reasonable answer that made perfect sense.

I'm sure supporters of the other candidates wish he would come across like a snarling warmonger, but it just isn't the case.

8. maybe
because he's doing this on HIS schedule instead of yours.

The Primaries aren't until next year. The general election (or the General's election) isn't for another 14 months.

If he decides to run, it will be with a lot more information than us armchair political consultants have.
