OK, cat owners, here's a way to help homeless kitties in shelters
This was sent to me from one of my animal rescue group lists.

Date: Mon, 23 Aug 2004 18:09:15 -0000
From: "the_corkboard" <the_corkboard@yahoo.com>
Subject: Donation Made for Cat Survey Respondents

I am looking for cat owners looking to participate in a survey. For
your time a donation will be made to a cat shelter or rescue of your
choice. You will also be entered into a drawing.

The purpose of this survey is to examine the potential of a new line
of cat furniture. Cat furniture is furniture specifically designed
for cats to play on. You may know it by other names such as cat
castles, cat trees, or cat gyms.

To start the survey, please click the link below or copy it into
your browser.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=63560599130

For a greater donation to a particular cat shelter or rescue,
forward this survey link to your friends who are also cat owners.
The more responses we receive, the greater the donation. We will
also enter respondents into a drawing to win the cat furniture
design that gets built.

Thank you.

1. This is a marketing ploy and should not be posted here...
The object is to sell cat furniture. I did not take the survey. I did not see any indication of how much the "donation" would be, if it is ever made. I think it is exploitation of cat owners at the very least.

2. I took the survey and I don't even have a cat.

Hey, if there is a chance that some animals will benefit, then I'll help out.
They did not ask for any information, not even my e-mail address. So why do you say they are trying to sell furniture? They certainly can't sell you anything if you can't be contacted.

3. This is not a survey to sell cat furniture.
They are trying to find out if people would even want to buy cat furniture. There's no sales pitch.
