What is Polyphonic Spree? Is it Christianoid popular music?

I've seen some video clips in the commercials before the previews before the movies. It appears to be highly suspicious for such a genre. Anyone know? Is it good music? :shrug:

1. It's definitely different. Kinda like a modernized/abstract "Hair"

It's probably as much pagan as Christian, if I had to say, church robe-looking types aside. There's real instrumental and compositional strength, albeit a bit avant-garde at times.

It's two parts "Up With People", three parts drug-induced freak out, two part Oasis, one part industrial, one part Hare Krishnas at the airport and one part church choir.

It's good music. I have their first album.

2. My wife brought one of their cd's home the other day -

An impulse buy that I wish she could have controlled. I said it sounded like "Up With People" on some bad brown acid. I'm pretty open to alot of stuff, but 35 minutes of what amounts to a tone-test signal is asking a bit much. And there are so many vocals at some points that it just sounds like mush.
