Is it worth my time to rent "Secret Window" on Directv?
I have heard conflicting critiques of this movie, so I'm putting it to the DU crowd. Should I wait for it to hit regular t.v. or pay the $3.99??

Thanks, Laura

2. I liked it

I don't know... I could be biased... it was based on a Stephen King story, and it does feature Johnny Depp quite prominently in the starring role. ;)

23. Also similar to "The Dark Half"
King's been repeating himself for a while, unfortunately.

4. Good question!
I've been wondering the same thing. I was also wondering about Cold Mountain.

6. Cold Mountain was a good movie. It was a smoother run than the
book was. I had a really hard time keeping interest in the book, with the shifting back and forth.

Hi jchild! It's good to see you.

12. Looks like I'll rent it this weekend, then.
I love using the remote to order movies. Wouldn't trade my directv for anything.

Good to see you, too, MrsGrumpy! :hi:

8. I liked it
but then I love King, Bag O Bones was very good I thought. Also, I would watch Johnny Depp do anything, major eye candy plus I really like his acting. I think he is great but then I know nothing about acting. I paid for it on cable but probably should have waited, it wasn't THAT good. My husband did not care for it.

I think I'm on it! It's a rainy day... Gotta run to a book sale, but then I guess I'll spend the afternoon with Johnny!

Thanks Muse! :hi:

10. Yeah. It's kind of a mess, but I'd say it's worth $3.99 to see
Johnny Depp stumble around muttering in his robe and get into deep shit. I am being sincere.

11. It wasn't the best movie, but it was worth $4 to see.
I'm glad I rented it rather than paying ticket price, though.

15. NO!
If you want to see Secret Window, rent "The Shining" and "Misery".

Then you can say you've seen Secret Window.

16. Heheh. Seen those two. And I am one of the rare ones who liked the mini
series of the Shining better than the big screen. Thanks for your input. :hi:

because you get to see what a great actor Johnny truely is.

Anybody that can make flaking out on the couch seem interesting really is Acting :D

edit: I bought the DVD; but then I'm an obssessed fan. It's one of the thrills I discovered being unemployed.
