Your brush with the Bizarre?

I'll start. The strangest thing that ever happened to me happened a few years back.

I'm wearing a suit, on my way to work. I discover my car is running on fumes, so I pull into a gas station on the way. Since I also have to have a BM (my early morning cock-a-doodle-poo, as I call it), I toss my gas credit card at the cashier and run into the restroom.

While I'm seated, a man I've never seen before opens the door to my stall, says, "Smile and say cheese", snaps a picture with his camera and leaves.

Afterward, I looked all around the station for this guy, with no luck. The gas station employees all claim never to have seen the guy. As yet, the photos have not yet turned up on the internet, though I keep waiting for it to happen.

Anyone else have a really bizarre story?

1. Mine involves traveling out of town.

I usually take two to four overnight trips for work a month. It's not uncommon for me to do this.

What's strange is when I call home an unusually pleasant woman answers the phone. We carry on a nice conversation, she tells me about her day, about the kids, what they're doing tomorrow, etc.

If I'm out for two nights in a row, I'll talk to her twice on a trip.

Now here's the strange part - when I get home, this woman is no where to be found. I check every room, I look for empty pods in the basement - nothing.

Arbusto - if you find your man with the camera, ask him if he's seen this woman. Thanks.

2. I was driving with some guys just outside New Orleans when...

...two guys pull up next to us on a four lane highway and start staring at us. The passenger looked like Charlie Manson. It was night and the roadway wasn't lit. We slowed down, they slowed down. We sped up, they sped up. This went on for about a mile until we started going over a bridge. Then, just before we got onto the overpass, they drove off onto the grass and down the embankment on the side of the bridge.

We just laughed and said "WTF was THAT?"

3. It just happened this weekend...

I went to Little Steven's garage fest, and Nancy Sinatra played a Sonic Youth song!

5. Look for a recording called "Golden Throats"...

It features such stellar performances as William Shatner's rendition of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, among others. truly strange shit.

4. I picked up a hitchhiker

back in the 70's in the middle of a blizzard. The guy is a T-shirt and jeans and carrying a small card board box. He keeps opening the lid just enough to put his fingers in , he reaches in plays with something and closes the box. this goes on for a hundred miles or so. Suddenly he tells me he needs to get out. I stop the car , he gets out and before he closes the door he opens the box and showers me the contents. It was full of feathers. Very strange.
