Questions about the Olympics and Performance Enhancing Drugs...

1. Are ALL athletes tested for performance enhancing drugs?

2. What kinds of supplements are permitted and which aren't? How does the Olympic committee draw the line?

3. Is drug testing difficult in sports?

1. I've been curious about that too

I know that steroids are prescribed for many real health problems (like decreasing swelling). What if an athlete has tonsilitis before the games and is prescribed steroids? Does a prescription make it ok? Are small doses ok? Can doctors tell the differences in steroid types?
