APPLE iTunes Users: A Couple Questions

Is there a way on iTunes to fade a track in. I know that there's a crossfade option on playlist playback, but if I burn a track to a CD is there a way to make that track fade-in over, say, 10 seconds?

Also, is there a way on iTunes to cut a track? There's a song I want to burn to a CD that has some extraneous talking in the track. I want to cut out the last few seconds. Is there a way to do this on iTunes?

I don't think so. :(

You can change the length of silence between songs when burning them to CD, which is set by default as your standard 2 seconds, but you can't actually 'fade in' to a song when burning it to a CD, like its done when playing songs on iTunes using a playlist.

And you can't edit files in any way using iTunes, you will need a seperate program for that. Possibly Quicktime Pro.
