NBC Olympics has too many commercials
NBC coverage - watching 4 minutes of volleyball, announcer says "We'll take a break, now this..." 4 more minutes of volleyball, announcer says "We'll be right back (even though play continues.)

4 minutes of play later, announcer says "Don't go away, we'll return in a moment."

Is it true the CBC in Canada has commercial free coverage? If you love stupid food commercials you'll love the NBC olympics. Need Tivo.

1. We need BBC like coverage
I was in heaven when the Olympics were on when I lived in England.

BBC 1 and 2 plus Eurosports

5. Gotta love Eurosport .
Watched it ( Sydney 2000 and Salt Lake 2002 ) while I was in Germany and they actually showed the events LIVE . Without commercials .

10. not bad here either
five commercial-free "Olympic Channels" (digital) and Eurosport. Without the commentators it would be almost perfect.

7. Did you ever try to watch...
a movie on Comedy Channel? You'll only do it once. Too many commercials!

3. Well we have commercials
on the CBC...but they're quick, and usually inserted during a lull.

4. I agree
I am not a huge Olympics fan but this is too much. I also noticed their first commercials usually look like Olympic events, I this i supposed to fool you into watching the commercial.

6. live stuff on the cable channels
has been good as far as commercials go. there's been at least once where they showed an event without commercials (you know, commercial free presented by so and so, like they do with the rose parade.)

12. Here in South Korea...
The Korean channels coverage has commercials kind of in-between events. So they'll show like a whole badminton match, or diving event or what have you, then break for commercials. Or if it's a game with a half-time (like field hockey or football or what have you) they'll show commercials then.

AFKN (The American military channel) on the other hand....
