4. Here's something I've never understood:
It supposedly takes place in Alabama.
OK, I'm fine with that.
They shot it in Mississippi.
I mean...didn't Alabama look enough like...well..ALABAMA for them?
"Well, C.J., if you REALLY want to see what Alabama looks like, go to Mississippi."
:wtf:
I don't get it.

7. Could have something to do with which state is most hospitable
to the movie industry. Some states have harsh regulations or punitive fees that movie companies will do anything to avoid.

Could also have something to do with finding suitable shoot locations. If an aesthetically better-looking courthouse had been found in Montana they might have shot some scenes there.

The soon-to-open http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/withoutapaddle.html ">Without a Paddle is set in Oregon but was shot in New Zealand because it's hard to find enough sunshine to shoot a movie with in Oregon.

8. They probably got a savings for filming in Mississippi
that happens alot. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are notorious for serving as other major cities

6. I love the part when Vinny is getting ready to go hunting...
When Marisa tells vinny the deer doesn't give a *uck what he was going to wear.
