I just spent $2233.76 at one store.
I just bought a new house and I've been living with my parents for the past couple of years. Everything that I had before when I lived out on my own was basically junk so I either trashed it or gave it away. That means I had to buy damn near everything for my new house.

It hurts to drop that kind of money, but I think I got a really good deal. It could have been a lot worse. For $2233.76 I got:

A new couch.
A coffee table and end tables- the display models.
A new recliner.
A new entertainment center.
A new box springs and mattress.
A new night stand.
A new dresser.
A new computer desk.

And they are delivering everything for $70.00.

Granted it's not top of the line stuff. Hell, my parents spent $2500 just on a living room set. But it's just going to be me living there so I didn't really need to buy that high dollar stuff. It should last me a long time.

2. I think so too
The saleswoman saved me $400 by getting me a deal on the couch. They no longer had the one that I wanted in the store and when I asked her about it she checked and found out that they still had the one I wanted in stock.

It's one of those discount furniture stores. It's called Value City. I don't know if you have them in your area. Unless I start making twice the amount of money I'm making now or I hit the lottery or something, I will go back to them for my furniture needs.

3. We bought bedroom stuff there...
and I was a little apprehensive about going there because their regular stores are a little cheesy - at least around here. But my wife wanted to go to Value City Furniture - they are separate stores here, don't know if that's always the case. I was pleasantly surprised to see what we could get, and bought more than we had planned because the prices were good.

5. I went with the credit card
I've got enough cash to cover it, but I'm trying to keep as much in reserve as possible for emergencies. The credit card interest rate isn't bad- 11%- and I plan on having it paid off by the end of the year.
