Rubberband Man
Is there anyone else out there who really likes this Office Max commercial? Every time I hear it on the TV I drop what I'm doing and run to watch it. Always get a smile out of it.

3. Like the song. But I lived through the first 'big-afro' era...

...not really the best look overall.

Especially when the white guys start wearing them - and they will. :scared:

8. ACK!!!
Good grief, I'd totally forgot how goofy white dud(e)s look in that style.

The first time I saw a white guy in full fro it was on the lead singer for the MC5. They were opening for Black Sabbath on their maiden tour of the US. This was in the Fillmore auditorium in San Francisco. I don't think there was a Fillmore East at that point, so just "Fillmore". I was 15.

6. I love that song
How much do I love that song? Well, about 5 years ago it played on some Toronto station on my car radio and I realized I hadn't heard it in years - and fell in love with it. I don't think I was as fond of it when it was released (9-4-76), but for some reason it struck a chord. So....while driving I looked for any music store - at all - found a Borders or something, pulled in and they had one, and I do mean ONE copy of The Spinners 'A One of a Kind Love Affair' (a greatest hits collection). For $29.99. Yes - I payed thirty bucks for one song, which is my all time record. Fortunately, there are plenty of other likeable ditties on the 2 disc set so it's not a total wash, especially 'Working My Way Back To You'. But this is the most I've ever payed for one song.

Frankly, I was shocked the first time I saw the commercial, since I sorta' consider it "my" song. Anyway, great commercial, and a great Angela Davis fro, too.

7. Love it! The Adidas ads are cool too
The one where the guy has about 50 people on his shoulders and the other one with the guy shredding an empty pool in a wheelchair.

9. Think it's OK but
The fact that I'm losing my job because of the reorganization Boise Cascade(which bought OM last year)is going through makes it a little hard to get to excited about. :toast:
