I locked that thread in earnest, believing that someone had actually stolen property. If this is a joke, it is a poor one. I have a great amount of respect for my fellow DUer's, I have no respect for thieves.

If I locked the previous thread in error, I actually accused someone of being a thief; I see no humor whatsoever in that.

With this in mind, I will ask this once: Was this a "joke" thread?

If so, I owe someone an apology, and someone owes me one as well.

53. It was a joke and not anything we meant seriously. It happened like this:

Someone - I think it was Endangered Species posted a thread saying I just paid $500+ dollars for textbooks. JVS posted a thread saying I just charged somebody $500+ for textbooks - so I posted a thread saying I just fired an employee for posting on DU about fleecing somebody on textbooks - and on from there. I go home from work, do my thing, eat dinner and come back to this foolishness.
