4. Crawfish. Period.
As a younger woman who did her share of partying, I could eat ten pounds of crawfish and drink a case of beer in one afternoon.

It doesn't get any better than that.

24. Brats and Beer

....I tip my hat to my neighbors to the north, for the best food to go with brats. I'll take a side order of deep fried cheese curds also.

I'm lucky enough to live 15 minutes from the Wisconsin border, so this treat can be enjoyed often.

Cheers,
Kim :toast:

I should try harder to "curry" the favor of Indian chefs!

(ugh)

edit: ugh was for my lame attempt at humor, not aimed at Indian food. Just so's we knows.

BTW - I don't think an orange and a beer are a good combination. I could be mistaken.

34. In terms of what? Carbs? Calories? grain consumption?
The last I can possibly see- once upon a time beer and ale were a way of preserving the more perishable grains as well as making the water safe to drink thanks to the alcohol. But the beer recipes I have don't come close to using the 3 cups of grain that it takes to make a loaf of bread per bottle. Like, maybe a half cup of grain per bottle.

But when a loaf of bread has 1700 calories and a beer has 125 (looking at the porter label in front of me and doing the calculations from my basic bread recipe...)

I don't see it.

Thanks, I won't be seeing your MD.
