Go see "Supersize Me"
Great stuff. I thought it would be potentially boring watching a guy eat at McDonalds for 90-something minutes, but it's a really entertaining film.

1. That movie was the reason I don't eat McDonald's anymore.

I still eat other fast food occasionally, Arby's, Taco John's, Wendy's, Boston Market, Quizno's, etc. But it completely made me quit McDonald's.

I had known Mccy D's was evil even after reading "Fast Food Nation", but I still would be lured in once in a while. I needed the visual suppresant (in movie form) to make me quit eating there.

2. Is that about the guy who ate
McDonald's for 30 days straight?

I heard about someone who did that, by week 2 he would instantly vomit when he tried to eat it.

3. Yes.
But it's much more than just that. While he's chowing down under the golden arches for a straight month, you get to see him tour school cafeterias and vending machines, talk with the former surgeon general, and a whole bunch of folks.

You get to watch his vegan girlfriend shake her head, and his medical team (3 doctors, a dietician, and an exercise physiologist) always have the darndest things to say.

And yes, he goes to Texas to eat the special Texas burger.

4. He puked on day 2
His liver started to go into failure by the second week. His doctor begged him to get off the food. It was a great documentary.

6. It emphasizes how ridiculous the portion sizes are
I saw it awhile ago and I think about the movie whenever I eat out. The portion sizes are usually crazy. I went out to breakfast and ordered a egg scramble. It came on this huge plate and would easily have served 5 to 6 people. I brought most of it home and ate if for a few days. :eyes:
