I tried to be a nice guy.
Edited on Sat Aug-07-04 06:37 AM by Aftershock
I was in Yahoo Chat Room Government and Politics chatting away with both Democrats and Republicans. Anyways, I tried being nice with the Republicans. I was telling them I didn't hate them because of their different beliefs/values/ideas/opinions from mine, and yet they kept hating me. They hated me because I'm different. I don't hate them because they're different.

I have a few Republican friends, and even though I don't agree with their political idealogy, I don't hate them. In fact, I like them a lot. Why can't (some) Republicans be the same way? Why are they filled with so much hate? Why can't they like me for who I am?

2. You know what I say about those goddamned Republicans?

Fuck the fuckers.

They've been hosing this country for the past 40+ years and I'm sick and tired of it. It's because of them that we're at the bottom of every single socio-economic stat for western industrialized countries, with the clear exception of death penalty executions, homicides and military spending.

Fuck EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

3. Being nice doesn't work with these intellectual midgets.
You can post seven different links to disprove some Bushit they post and they'll still tell you you're wrong. I even once posted the White House's own website of a link to Bush finally asking for a Homeland Security Dept and this stupid turd still swore he'd called for it directly after 9/11 instead of months later as the press release proved
.
Another time I posted a link to the Wash Post where it examined Bush's service record and reported on the number of days he was credited with. A wingnut said that was their opinion. I asked if it was their opinion that they'd read it or the number of days the record showed.. this moron said both!

Braindead nitwits.. much better to just attack these turds until they run off whining for their mommys.

fuck 'em!

4. Republicans put their party before their country.
They would like nothing more than to have this country be a one party-led political system.

5. That's sad.
That just makes me want to cry. I respect people because they are different. I have no problems with Republicans as human beings. I just have a lot of problems with their way of thinking when it comes to running this country.

Why do they have to hate me when I don't hate them?

This country is going to hell, in my opinion. :(

6. I have no problem w/ Republicans
If they want to make less money... fine. Myself I'll stick with my union job with great benifits... their jealousy only serves to make me more appreciative of what my unions done for me. If they want to sell out their children's future to record deficits as far as the eye can see.... Fine. I'll still be way out ahead of their minimum wage slavery. If they want to surrender their right to a good education to the right wing Racists... Fine I'm in a state where we value education and diversity, were not waiting on the rest of the nation to do what's right. If they want to believe lies that are way beyond obvious... Fine. Just remember this For the past 3 1/2 years Republicans have been in charge of The white house, the House of reps, the Senate, and the supreme court. What have they accomplished? Their only accomplishments have been negative. We are hated the world over. Our economy is in the toilet waiting for 1 more hit before it sinks. We have lost 1.8 million jobs The few jobs that have been created are lower wage jobs without benefits. The credibility of the President is at an all time low. If you support this president you are in an ever shrinking minority. Denial wont change this, it only serves to make the inevitable realization more painful. Thats why Democrats will vote to help everyone even republicans. Perhaps with better education we will be able to show them their mistakes.

7. Mike Malloy spoke about this specific issue last night.
He said that he had tried to be nice to them and bring them along for a long time. But they kept hating him, so he started to hate them back.
