August in New Hampshire BLOWS! It's in the 40's here!
Sonuvabeeatch! I hate the weather here ... without a doubt we'll get above 90 again, then gown below 50 again ... repeat ... repeat. I could take it if it were hot, or cold, but not when it's hot and cold in the same damn week.

1. DC - people wearing sweaters last night!
It's great. I can finally open the windows, turn off the a/c, and get some fresh air. :-)

5. I was hoping
I wouldn't have to explain that, all I had was the old coaxing the turtle out with a piece of bread.

6. It even cooled off
in Texas, at least the northern part where I am.

A cool front passed through on Thursday (nearly unheard-of for August) and dropped the lows at night into the mid-60s and the high yesterday was only upper 80s.

Actually, in East Texas it has been a relatively cool summer. It has not reached 100 yet. Of course, even when it is "only" 98 or so, it feels like 110 because of the extreme humidity.

7. When I looked at the lead to your post, I thought,"boy, this is
great, Bush's numbers are tanking in NH.If he is down to the low 40's his goose is cooked!".I hope you can post something like that before Labor Day! And good luck with your weather.I remember driving once from Logan Airport to Portsmouth in mid-May when it started snowing.
Probably, the global warming trend hasn't reached NH yet!

But he was here yesterday, so I'll be interested to see what effect that has on the polls.

10. Cold, wet and cloudy in NH this summer.
My veggie garden is just pathetic. After last winter's record cold, we deserved better!

12. yeah, it's definitely been a weird august
here in Derry it was 45 last night and we expect it to be below 45 tonight... IN AUGUST.

I can't say it bugs me though, I sort of enjoy the wild swings of temperature.

13. No complaints in the the Sacramento valley
We haven't even hit triple digits this summer! Last July we had a week running around 112. Low 90's is today's forecast.
