Will the US media censor the booing of the American Olympic athletes?
Edited on Sat Aug-07-04 01:31 AM by northwest
Next Friday, August 14, the opening ceremonies of the 2004 Olympics begin. There's a chance the US athletes will be greeted by loud, raucous boos. Will NBC be censoring this in the United States???

The great thing for me is that I will be on vacation in Canada at that time (Winnipeg, to be exact), and I'll be watching the ceremony on CBC. I think no doubt that CBC won't be censoring any booing of the American athletes, and though a lot of you might not like to hear this, I want to see and hear the actual thing happen live if it does indeed happen. if it doesn't, then that's OK too.

I really think NBC/GE will be blacking out the booing to massage the egos of all the Americans watching at home.

1. You know they will. It will be a very silent Olypics this year.
Either that or the will will use old audio, and just not show the audience.

God, I hate the media whores.

2. I think it would be tacky and I hope..
it doesn't happen. Athletes don't deserve to be booed for the mistakes our politicians have made.

4. Of course
I do not support the booing of American athletes but I also do not support not knowing about it. It's barely been reported that athletes have been asked to hide their USA affiliation unless they are competing.
