I was on my way home from Niagara Falls yesterday, I was in Grove City, PA, reknown for its lovely Outlet shopping centers when I saw the most disgusting liscence plate ever.

"COONHTR"

That's right, COONHTR. I nearly shit. If he wasn't driving, I would've added a few dents onto his truck from my own fists. Looks like quite a few people already beat me to it though, from the rear, which is all I saw, I saw gigantic key scratch marks, and a few gouges. I wanted to throw down a massive fucking dragon kick down on it. I don't even know what a dragon kick is, but I'm sure it'd lay his truck to waste. But then, consumed by rage, he turned, and forever (hopefully) passed from my life. As quickly as the incident had began, it ended. I looked at Mike and said "that really said that didn't it?" He added a somber "yeah, if i ever see that thing parked, he better hope I don't see him out in front of it."

1. Contact the state DMV

and explain why the plate is offensive. Sometimes they slip through, but they can pull the plates when it's pointed out.

I say call the DMV...they usually err on the side of caution...I've head of far less offensive/suggestive plates than that being seized out of a sense of not setting a precedent.

enough and it took reading a few posts to figure out what YOU thought it meant. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. However, given your immediate reaction, the DMV should be notified as it is potentially even more offensive to a lot of other people if they do read it as you did.

13. Regardless of what WE think his intentions were, you should call the DMV.

Even if he can explain his way out of it once, if there are enough complaints, they will pull his plates. The number doesn't have to be very high, either--we are talking in the single digits here.

It's happened several times in Arizona, including to an acquaintance of mine (and his was deliberately obscene but not obvious; he got by with it for about 6 months, and I was one of the first to call!).

Edit: FWIW, the COONHTR beats my "friend's" plate by far.
