Poll question: I'm going to the Warped Tour today. How should I dress?
For those of you who don't know me, my musical tastes run the gamut from "wuss rock" to... well, "wuss rock". I like pretty melodies and acoustic guitars. So why am I going to the Warped Tour? Three reasons:

A) It's free;

B) My friend insists that loud music will help me take my mind off of my troubles;

c) It's free.

If you look in the DU gallery, you'll see that I look like a cross between a young Ron Howard and... well, a young Ron Howard. I have the personality to match. So my question is, how should I dress for this occasion?

But I may not be able to afford it, now that I stand to lose 200 dollars.

Black T shirt and jeans. That'll work.

5. Okay:
Wear a pair of Vans, baggy pants, and a muscle shirt.

Get a couple of tattoos and a "Prince Albert."

You will be set!

6. Vans?
They're like sunglasses, right? And if I cut the sleeves out of my Oxford, will that count as a muscle shirt?

8. Precisely.
And if the kids ask if you're a "narc," that means "are you cool?"

So you should say yes.

11. no, no vans are skate shoes
As far as the shoes go, get ya self a pair of Reynolds, they was my favorite pair. As for what to wear, old guy trying to fit in heh, and that reminds me of my dad heh, because my dad did some work at the HFS festival, an aunnual rock fest in DC area, his friend bought a bunch of cheesy jewerly and he reluctantly helped him out heh. Have fun, I think Ive heard of this Warped Tour somewhere before, hmm forget from who, dont know the music myself though because I hardly buy CDs much and its likely not my kind of music.

7. Here's my suggestion....
and I LOVE guys into acoustic guitars and pretty melodies.

The adorable ones who look like Ron Howard look especially cuddly in baggy khaki shorts, Tevas or other guy sandals (substitute hiking boots during inclement weather), and Bundeswehr tank tops (head to your nearest military surplus store).

You'll be stylin' and have the "sensitive liberal guy" look down!

Seriously...

9. Hmmm... I have the baggy khaki shorts on already...
I'm afraid I don't have time to go to a military surplus store. But now I'm thinking about skipping the concert and heading for Texas anyway! :loveya:

20. Awwwwwwww!
Very sweet, dearie, but I'm afraid reprehensor might have something to say about that.

Go find yourself a hottie! But I would not recommend WIAH's methods. They could be misconstrued by any young ladies who are not into that thing.

And we wouldn't want you to miss any of the show because EMS is busy removing someone's patella from your genital area. That could be painful.

Just my take on it.

21. I have one that is probably 15 or more years old
from my punk days - I guess I thought they were from the West German army??, and maybe they didn't make them anymore since unification. I am part German, but I probably don't know all the details. Didn't mean to make you feel old, FSC. :)

15. Yes, but it is very important to remember:
Girls today sometimes adorn their nipples wih jewelery, and they like men to pinch their breasts in order to find out if they are indeed wearing "nipple rings." It's sort of the younger generation's version of our greeting "hello."

If you pinch their breasts, they will see that you understand the youth culture, and will permit you to engage in coitus with them.

Especially if you say that you are a "narc."

26. watch who yer callin' W! :-)
I'd say retro is like a look that best suits the "indie" scene. Read your email, didn't get a chance to reply yet. BTW, the MTX went even more "indie" when Dr. Frank did his solo project, don't remember if I included that in your liner notes.

27. I have developed a bit of a MTX lust
I have gone to a lot of the websites and was thinking of ordering some of their stuff. Dr. Frank was cute and has a great wit. My friend Mike says Ed from the PPG swears by them. I really thought the God Bless America song in all of it's permutations was pretty funny.

ok, I'll just call you Wiseass, if that's okay. :) G and I are dopey from the beer we drank at dinner and keep looking around, going, wait there's no kid to put to bed.
