Tech Help Plz!...DVD Ripper/Burner for Mac OS X?

I need to lift various scenes from several DVDs . I don't need to copy the whole DVD just certain scenes from various DVDs.

These clips will then be used in a DVD I'm making.

Does anybody know of any software that will allow me to lift just the scenes I want from a DVD? And give me that clip in a format that I can use with mac iDVD maker?

1. If you have a capture card you can

bring them in analog

2. I don't (at least not that I know of)

I'm using an eMac with superdrive.

of getting an answer? (Tech, DVD, Mac forum?)
