Whats the most graphic nude male/female scene in a movie?
In a mainstream movie, whats the most graphic you've ever seen?

MALE: Michael Pitt in "The Dreamers"
Ewan McGregor in"The Pillow Book"

FEMALE: Jane March in "The Lover"
Juliane Moore in "Short Cuts"

I have no problem with nudity(I'd rather see nudity than violence)I think its pretty brave for actors/actresses to do full fronatl nudity. Its pretty sad that most mainstream films only show T&A & 90% of the time its female nudity. Why are guys so embarassed with the nude male body? (end of rant)

1. it's not male modesty
a lot of actors will gladly show all. It's audiences who are largely put off by it.

13. Maybe the str8 male audience...
but if men get to see full female front nudity, then let us ladies see full frontal male nudity.

I think our society has some strange conception of male genitalia. For some reason it is considered too absence to show. :hippie:

BTW: This was one of the best films that I have ever seen. I highly recommend it, especially if you like magical realism.

6. I bring this up because I recently watched the dvd
"The Dreamers" with some friends & whenever the guys took their clothes off I heard moans & guys saying things like, 'Hey who picked out this movie?'or "Boo! Show us the women!" dumb remarks like that. There was alot more male nudity in the film than female & the guys made a comment EVERY time there was male nudity! Suppose they are insecure or perhaps attracted to the images.

New Study Links Homophobia with Homosexual Arousal

http://www.apa.org/releases/homophob.html

WASHINGTON -- Psychoanalytic theory holds that homophobia -- the fear,
anxiety, anger, discomfort and aversion that some ostensibly
heterosexual people hold for gay individuals -- is the result of
repressed homosexual urges that the person is either unaware of or
denies. A study appearing in the August 1996 issue of the Journal of
Abnormal Psychology, published by the American Psychological Association (APA), provides new empirical evidence that is consistent with that theory.

21. I don't know - I'm a guy and I don't really care
Then again I'm somewhat unusual. I'm not gay or bi. I'm straight. I like women. But I will admit on this anonymous board to being somewhat bicurious. Not bicurious in willing to have a homosexual relationship or homosexual sex (I've tried to fantasize, wondering if I might be bi...DOESN'T work. Every time I try to picture myself with another guy, I lose all interest, so I'm pretty sure I'm just straight). Rather, I mean that I find the nude male body sort of appealing on a platonic level, so male nudity doesn't bother me. And I get aroused by male-female sex scenes if both the girl is hot and the guy is good-looking b/c I can relate to it and fantasize that that guy is me. I wonder if it's because I project my own fantasies of my ability to bed women (currently non-existent, but I'm still relatively young - 19) and fantasies about my own physique - i.e., if I see a well-proportioned male body, I began to picture myself with those features and in bed with the same hot girl.

Maybe I'm just weird. Or maybe I'm just being more honest (here, in anonymity) than most guys.

26. More honest, not weird
It's instinctual to be attracted to the same sex.

Personally, I appreciate beauty in both sexes, but it doesn't mean I want to have a homosexual encounter.

All the great artists and sculptors throughout history have appreciated beauty of the same sex.

The statue of David by Michelangelo comes to mind. There's no way such a masterpiece could have been created unless Michelangelo had a profound appreciation of the male physique.

I think the male body is simply beautiful. If it's not saying too much, I vividly remember every one I've ever seen (not that many, but it's been a long time since I've seen anyone other adult one than the one down the hall though).

Part of their whole essence that kind of stays with you. Why do some of you have to be just so darned yummilicious? :)

8. The opening scene in "Betty Blue" is as erotic as it gets...
...in my opinion. Man and woman on a bed fucking. Both young and hot. Totally nude. As the camera zooms in ever-so-slowly. They're just....DOING IT. And loving it. No fake porn bullshit positions or attitudes or dubbed-in moans. These kids are crazy for each other. This is REAL sex. You, the viewer, are a voyeur in their bedroom, and you're invisible as you walk towards the bed.

Rest of the movie's quite good too.

20. I think male full frontal nudiity is more likely to be threatened by an X
rating. At least that's the impression I get. Before our country got so puritanical about everything, one would occasionally see male full frontal in an R rated movie and it wouldn't be a big deal. ("Life of Brian" for example) Then the country/government moved to the right, led by the conservative 'Christians' and more pressure was brought upon those making the movies to conform to certain standards; if not, the movie was threatened with an 'X'. They developed the NC-17 rating for a legitimate adult movie, to distinguish it from porn, which had co-opted the 'X' rating. Unfortunately, newspapers refused to accept ads for these movies, some theaters refused to show them, etc.

I have no evidence that my theory is true, but I believe that is probably the way it is.

27. For the umpteen millionth time, I nominate
the two-girls-and-a-guy dream sequence from "Screen Test". It was incredible. The girls were gorgeous and voluptuous, and the guy was mostly under the covers, so we didn't have to see his hairy male body. The music, as I recall, was PURE porno, though.

34. quick $0.02 cents on the male nudity double standard
One thing that is often missed when discussing male full frontal nudity as it is compared to female full frontal nudity in movies is that female full frontal very rarely shows the viewer anything but a tuft of hair. Male full frontal shows the actual organ. It is very rare that the viewer sees any detail of the female vagina, nearly as rare as the viewer being presented with an erect penis.

The double standard definitely exists and frankly i see no reason why there should be such a big deal about nudity itself. Sexual contact may be unsuitable for children to see, but I really honestly don't understand why nudity is such a big deal in films, where male or female full frontal (though i reiterate that female full frontal is nothing of the sort) is grounds for an immediate R rating.

Just a thought on the subject.

36. I agree 100% Caution!
The fundies are the ones who are in shock when a guy shows his penis. The new Colin Farrel movie had a scene that was later cut because men in the audience were very uncomfortable. They also edited the new Ewan McGregor movie because of his frontal nude scene. What amazes me is they will threaten a NC-17 if there is anything more than a quick flash of a guys penis, but there seems to be no limit to the amount of female nudity.

This is one reason why I enjoy foreign movies so much. Mostly because they just don't care. They don't see nudity like us Americans do.They have no problem having a film be unrated due to sex. This is Sad because most video stores will not carry a good movie if it happens to have too much nudity. A great example of this is the film 'Y Tu Mama Tambien'Blockbuster would only cary the rated version but a film like 'Swimming Pool' which has alot of female nudity is stocked everywhere, even at Wal-Mart. The hypocrisy is just too much!

'Ken Park' do a google search. This is by Larry Clark who directed 'Kids' & 'Bully'. What spooks me is the kids in the film are borderline legal. This film was made 2 years ago or so & I guess it is VERY graphic.I have no problem with nudity, but I get creeped out big time if the actors/actress looks younger than 18!!!
