3. What is the Speed limit on 401?
Actually start out in Illinois. Mapquest says go through Windsor, but I'm toying with the idea of entering Canada at Buffalo

4. I think it's faster...
to go through Windsor. It cuts 3 or 4 hours (at least) off the trip from here (Detroit) to Buffalo. Plus you can get Cuban cigars !!!

5. Windsor, Canada or Windsor, U.K.?
you'll have to risk the pack ice on the Bering or take a cargo ship to Kamchatka or Spain.

6. great trip!
We drove from Michigan to Toronto, Montreal & Quebec at this time last summer -- had a fantastic time! Took the Blue Water Bridge into Canada at Port Huron on the way there (short wait) and the Ambassador Bridge into Detroit on the way back (horrendous back up).

I didn't think the roads were that bad (compared to Michigan and Missouri, anyway).
