1. Well the Sox are getting Orlando Cabrera
his batting average is only about 80 point below Nomar's. Same thing with Mientkiewicz.

And, given that he's a free agent after the season, most likely he'd leave Boston anyway.

Doesn't make things better, but, that appears to be the deal.
