My parents told me I would've been "Theresa".

Thank God for my Y chromosome.

1. Dale
But guess what... They made it my middle name!!! After Dale Evans!!! They even had the audacity to name me Ricky Dale Myers, but my birth cretificate was amended when the Catholic Church refused to baptise me since there's no Saint Ricky.

Dodged a bullet there... They settled on Richard.

But DALE??? Oy!!!

5. Manuel
Not "Man-u-al," but "Mahn-well," after my Portuguese grandfather.

In which case I would have taken back our original family name of Rodrigues (S, no Z).

they knew I was gonna be a guy
I am John Howard and no my folks arent right wing Aussies who love the pm of Australia. Story is
my mom's dad was John Francis Beltz and my dad's dad was Howard William Kleeb hence John Howard Kleeb and also they were both lefties politically and handness. Other than that I think they were different people though. Both good people, I wish I knew my grandfather Kleeb because he died and I know my other one well because he is still living.

16. Jonathan David
Named for both grandfathers. But, I was a girl. I have a fairly ordinary first name, but they used my grandmother's name for my middle name. It starts with Z but is not Zelda. No one ever guesses. My grandma was named for her mother's favorite teacher in school.

Apparently, my mother had some maniacal focus on producing sons, because my younger sister was supposed to be Sean David. Oops!

I woulda been Burhyl after my dad. But that didn't happen to my little brother so I figure my dad's good sense would have prevailed.

Redneck parents. Was going to be named James Montgomery after the doctor, but Brenda Lou arrived (after Brenda Breeze, the comic strip character). Oh, well, Brenda is a Gallic or Welsh name meaning fire brand, male equivalent: Brendan, so I like it.
