Poll question: Favorite Staple's Singers song
Love 'em!!!

I have to go with OTHER..There is a song on their BE WHAT YOU ARE LP that I have not found on disc called "Tellin' Lies" It is my all time favorite Staple's song

"Oh La De Da" (1973)

Don't let the silly title fool you. The lyrics are just as socially relevant as the rest of their pre-1975 material!

There's a song they did that was on the American Roots Music series on PBS and I cannot for the life of me remember the dang name.

Gonna drive me nuts til I can dig out the CD and find it.

12. Man, Mavis has the best damn voice on the planet.
Had to go with "Heavy . . ." but that is a damn tough choice.
