3. here's my scoop r/
the place is called "Southeastern Career Institute" In Dallas TX it's owned by Kaplan and all the teachers are attorneys.
I'm in the certificate program that lasts about 6 months you can go into it if you already have a Bachelor's degree.
It's sorta intense as you can imagine but the only other ABA approved school is El Centro Community College that's a 2 yrs program.
Let me know what happens if you pursure, it ok?

6. Be Careful...
..I asked about the school because the experience I had with the school I attended in LR Arkansas --- was one of those 'career institutes'...all classes taught by attorney's etc. Learned just enough to sue them -- me and two other classmates. They settled on the date of jury selection...several other students also sued. There are a handful of Universities that offer paralegal programs. I am very very leary of those career institutes.

2. I was a paralegal for years
It depends on what suits you. 90% of it is document control. Every once in a while you get to do a trial.

Piece of advice: Become an expert on the newest forms of courtroom evidence delivery technology - digital documents, computer-based display platforms, digitized video depositions, etc. It makes your trials a lot more engaging for the jury, makes you a great tool to have in the drawer, and makes the whole thing more fun. It also wins trials. I was one of the first experts on this stuff in the Boston legal community, and it got me into something like 30 trials before I was through. We won most of them.

5. Check the school
It may have gotten to the point now where they teach it. I did hands-on training with one job I had.

7. If you can type, just get a job with a firm
If you are good you will rise. Good paralegals/legal secretaries are worth their weight in gold.
