Separate network, it takes a while until you are "well entrenched" so that searches get good results, but I have had good luck.

It is essential to use a "primary" connection if you can and there are numerous setup options including "ports" so that you can switch if your ISP blocks.

Check out one of the P2P portals like www.slyck.com for info on your options.

The Sharman folks have been trying to block use of "lite" versions, or so the story goes. Some people seem to have problems, others none, maybe try a later version.

FastTrack has also been the target of most of RIAA's attacks, so it is best used with some caution.

peer guardian blocks those assholes at the RIAA.

If you're looking for really underground stuff, Soulseek is really your only option.
