Dave Mustaine has a medical condition which prevents him from playing guitar well enough to make a living at it.
Megadeth was AWESOME. I hate that they had to go.

Some doubt that story. Dave is back to playing.

They are a great, great band. But a few months back he had an opportunity to get the Rust in Peace lineup back together but he couldn't make it happen. Grrrrrr..
