I'm trying to create a quiz for my site. I don't want to give away what I'm doing, because I think it'll be fun. It'll be about 30 questions, check the box for "yes," and then get your score -- think purity test for a comparable format.
But I need a script that will be able to count all of the "yes" boxes checked, and create a percentage score. Preferrably, so the score can show up in a little box on the same page.
I know enough about Javascript, DHTML and similar to modify the cosmetic elements and parameters of an existing script, but not enough to write one myself. (I can do simple HTML coding from scratch, but that's about it.)
Do these scripts exist? If so, where? If not, do you have any suggested alternatives? (I know -- last resort, I could do a hosted quiz, like on Quizilla, but I'd really rather not.)
The sad thing is -- I could have written this in 1984 in about 15 minutes, in BASIC for the Apple IIe. And I was 9 then. But I can't figure out how to do it for the web at all.
Thanks!
