Is today "Bring Your Three Yowling Moppets to Work Day?"
I get 30 minutes off THE CALL FROM HELL in order to grab a bite to eat and, if I'm lucky, run out to the street for a smoke.

I arrive in the cafeteria, and there are three screaming children running all over the place, bumping into people and such. I work in the technology/financial services industry.

I am looking forward to THE CALL FROM HELL starting up again.

Why, oh why?

2. my last job was in a SECURE federal building and STILL
my office was like a freaking daycare at least once a week. it's bad enough i have to listen to your constant insipid domestic hell stories when i'm TRYING to work, but WHY must i be subjected to your demon spawn pestering me for markers and my stapler?? and how the HELL did they get into this building???

my mother worked when i was growing up and i was NEVER allowed to go to work with her. they would never have stood for it and she would have only done so in an emergency anyway.

5. yeah, you might want to check and see if there's a shirt-making
room somewhere in the building.

I work at home so everyday is bring your moppet to the office day.

6. Lighten up, they were in the cafeteria, not in your office...
You don't know the circumstances of their visit. Perhaps their parents just had them dropped off by an ex after a visit (what I affectionatly refer to as hostage exchange) or the sitter dropped them off and they are on their way to a doctor's appointment. It is not easy to find someone to watch your children these days, try not to be so judgemental, it makes you look soooooo Republican.

8. good points. however,
this thread strikes me as a chance to vent. what's wrong with complaining? maybe it IS judgemental. although, i don't think repubs have the market on that. as an example, i submit the following statement:

"try not to be so judgemental, it makes you look soooooo Republican."
