My car got totaled today...

...but, thankfully, nobody was hurt. So, anyway, here's a fun factoid for my DU pals who love useless trivia: the trade-in value on a 15-year old Volvo wagon with 220,000 miles on it is (drumroll, please):

$450!!!

...but man, what a bummer! $450 won't put you back on the road in style, that's for sure!

I hope the Volvo is getting a good viking funeral... 220K is nothing to sneeze at.

5. She was a mighty car.

She's been back and forth across the country a few times, including to the Washington, DC Voter Rights March in May of 2001. I'd like to give her a burial at sea but the oceans receded from the Tucson basin several millenia ago. Hey, I do have some Pacific Ocean water in the garage, though. I think I'll baptize her before she's hauled off.

3. Sounds all too familiar...

My 1984 Plymouth Reliant wagon with 38,000 miles on it, pulled in roughly 850 after I was rear ended. Blast!

my car was hit last week, albeit not totalled and ins. willing to pay for entire damages. But I understand what a pain in the butt this is. Stay strong. :-)
