Dizzy.
Been on the exercise/diet for 1.2 weeks.

Exercisae 30 minutes in AM.

Eat breakfast.

SMALL meals throughout the day.

Small dinner.

NO food before bed.

Even with eating food, I still tend to get dizzy.

Is my body still adjusting? I know it will be a while, I know I am horrendously out of shape.

(it used to be no breakfast, big lunch, big dinner, no snacks, eating at bedtime while in bed watching Futurama and my pet parrot eat too)

1. Important question here is are you staying VERY well hydrated?
Part of it IS probably an adjustment to the new routine, but keep in mind that when you're exercising ANYTIME, but especially when you're new to it, you need to take in plenty of fluids. Otherwise you can see a drop in blood pressure, which will make you feel dizzy.

Also important, if you aren't taking in more fluids... how's your salt intake at the moment?

3. Salt...
Same as always. It's hard to avoid salt with the foods we buy, it's a preservative...

Fortunately it's all in the lean meat I buy and the spices I cook with (except for the onions.)

I am taking in about the same amount of water but i've noticed drinking more at the water fountains and going to the bathroom a bit more (nothing to be worried about yet though)

Thx!

4. You may want to up the water intake and see if that helps
It WILL get easier as you go along, and I wish you lots of luck!! As hard as it may seem now, you're going to feel SO much better soon. Hang in there, okay?

5. You'll adjust
Remember, you aren't going to get fit in a few weeks, so set reachable goals and do your exercises at a comfortable, natural pace and intensity. One good way to burn extra calories, if you are really out of shape, is to walk some place you normally drive, or to just set out to walk two miles a day in addition to your usual ramblings about. It's not as efficient as biking or running, but every bit of movement helps.
